The day after Thanksgiving we set out for our vacation……DISNEY!! We weren't checking into Disney until Sunday, so we figured we'd drive down to Hilton Head and spend a day at the Ocean to break up the drive a little!! Thank goodness for modern technology……the kids had plenty of movies to watch on the way down (about a 13 hour drive), ds's to play, an iPad, etc. They kept distracted and didn't really ask 'Are we there yet?' until about the last hour!! SUCCESS!! ;}
We were in a total of 9 states (counting Ohio) on our road trip!! That's a lot of driving!! But the kids did great…….minus 1 puking incident!!
We hit this state line and the girl we forgot gets car sick, got car sick!! Thank goodness her brother didn't follow suit, cause he's a chain puker……I quickly switched seats with him while Joe got us to the next rest area, which thankfully wasn't far down the road!!
It was dark when we hit the Georgia state line, so I couldn't get a good picture!! And I didn't take pictures on the way home……but we went a different route that put us through Tennessee and Kentucky…….our kids are now well traveled!! hahahaha
It was a bit chilly out when we went down to watch the sun rise……but it was so worth it!! Some writing in the sand to pass the time…..

Kids splashed in the ocean, then headed to the heated pool to swim while Joe and I watched the game!! The people across the pool at the table thought my kids had lost their minds……they must be from the south, cause our northern kids didn't seem to mind the 'cool' pool!! ;}
