LegoLand !*!*!*

Like I mentioned in the previous post......we had time to kill between the Aquarium and LegoLand.......which was agonizing for the kids!! They just wanted to get into LegoLand as fast as possible!! There was a Rainforest Cafe in the mall, so I took the kids to the shop while Wendy and Shana shopped nearby. We grabbed a few pictures...
I can't even begin to tell you how excited Evan was from the moment we told him we were going to LegoLand........and yes, I'm talking months before the trip!! He was looking forward to this sooooo much. I think these next few pictures pretty much sum up the excitement all three kids had!!
Quick building area while we waited on the 'factory' door to open!!
We 'made' our own Lego!!
These were jumbo sized Lego's made of rubber that the kids could build with!! We saw some bigger kids building walls then jumping into them and taking them down!! :}
They had Construction equipment.....all made of Lego's (normal sized Lego's!)
Ella was in heaven!! She's up there on the karaoke stage belting out some tunes!! I just prayed she wouldn't sing her favorite song......'I've got my toes in the water, *** in the sand!!' :}
Now this was our (the adult's) favorite!! These skylines were built from Lego's......thousands (probably millions) of Lego's!!

This is Dallas' skyline.......
then the lights in the room dimmed and the buildings lit up!!! It was insane!! And that construction crane.......it was operable!!
This is downtown Grapevine (where we stayed)......I personally loved the motorcycles parked along the street!! The attention to detail was crazy!! Street lamps lit up too.
The Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine!! There was much more too.....just didn't take a picture of Everything! There was an airport, the Cowboys Stadium.....equipped with moving football players!! It was wicked!!
Ella Loved the giraffe's too!!
There was even a small one just perfect for Autumn!!
And a puppy!!
I can't remember who this basketball player was, but Joe and Frank thought it was pretty cool that he was full size.......yes, made of Lego's!! And the trophy too!!
hahaha......
In the store afterwards........the color wall.......
too cool!!
We all loved LegoLand very much.......and we spent quite a few hours wondering and playing in here!! The kids both got to buy a Lego when we left.......Evan added a few to his Cars collection, and Ella started her collection of Lego Friends!! Good Times!!

SeaLife Aquarium

While in Texas, we took the kids to the Aquarium!! I think it's safe to say they had fun!! The Aquarium was located in the BIGGEST mall I have ever been too......I mean, seriously, if we had actually 'shopped' through the entire thing it would have taken hours!! We shopped about half of it and it killed a good two hours! Yikes!! And the reason we 'killed' the time was because our Aquarium visit was in the morning and then we had LegoLand in the afternoon (you had to buy tickets with specific times). So LegoLand will be the following post!!

This circle room was the first you walked into.....and it was really neat!! All the fish were just traveling around in circles!! It was almost as if the room was spinning.......I found it very entertaining!! Once in a while you would catch a rogue fish swimming against the current, but they didn't do that too long!
Can you find Corbin.......?
Blood Shrimp!! Pretty cool. :}
There is a huge Turtle on the right side......he was cool!
I LOVE the tunnels they put in Aquariums......just sooo cool to have the sea life swimming all around you! It sort of freaked out some of the kids (and Shana too!! haha).
Wendy and Shana 'swimming'!! haha......you can see the floor is glass too.....this is where Shana and Evan were a little wherry about walking through!!
The kids 'swimming'!!
The Shark Walk!
Kids posing behind a fish wall.....
Ella getting kissed by a fish!! This picture makes her very mad.......'I was not kissing that fish,' she will yell at me when I tease her about getting a fish kiss!! Love her.....she makes me laugh!
Ella was the only brave soul that wanted to touch the starfish (not surprising).......the boys wanted nothing to do with this!! That-A-Girl
I FINALLY got my kids to put their heads in these bubbles......
I'm pretty sure at first they thought they were going to be in the water with the fish if they got into these bubbles!! haha
Yes, they are very sheltered!! lol

FOOD!!

I love traveling.....not only is it fun to experience new places, but I totally love trying new foods too!! I didn't get a picture of all the places we went, but here are a few that we really enjoyed!!

Evan wants to eat here Everyday!! It's the Whataburger!! Catchy name.....just a simple burger joint, and the fries were great!! But Evan loved the chicken strips!! They were pretty good too.
We didn't actually eat at Fuzzy's......but it made for a good laugh while we were eating across the street at the Whataburger!! haha
This next place was AMAZING!! There was no such thing as mild salsa......and unfortunately Ella was the first one to dive into the salsa bowl!! Lots of water was consumed! Their queso dip was to.die.for! And since it wasn't spicy, the kids devoured that!!

Then there was this......
While I wasn't too excited about their 'normal' margarita.........the one Frank ordered was incredible!! Check this thing out!!Looks a little scary.......but was SO good!!
had I have not already had two of my own before Frank ordered this one, I would have gotten one for myself!! Guess we'll just have to come back someday!!

We Made It!!

We finally arrived to our destination of Grapevine Texas!! And it was amazing!! I think Joe and I will retire here one day!! ;}

This was snapped from the hotel room (everyone but us stayed in the hotel.....we camped!!)
The Great State of Texas!
Our camp site......
Kids scopping out the area........I think they were looking for the playground!! haha
Here are the ducks.......which we found out were really friendly when fed!!
Cute baby.......
Happy girl that found that playground!!
