I'm Still Here......

Does anyone else think my kids dominated the egg hunt.......?  haha  These two are crazy competitive...and I'm not really sure where they get that from......!!  One of these days I'll comb through all the Easter pictures I took and put up a proper post.  But until then, here is one to tied you over.

And Happy Birthday to my wonderful hubby!!  I won't say how old he is on here......but let's just say he's older than me!!  ;}  And no, it doesn't matter by how much, it just matters that he's older.  haha  He also happens to share a Birthday with my mom.....Happy Birthday Mom!

Texas Rodeo

Of course while we were in Texas we had to experience a Texas Rodeo!! Fun Times!! The only bad thing was that it didn't start until 8:00......and it lasted about 2 1/2 hours. So of course about an hour and a half into it, the kids were ready to leave!! :} But they were troopers and stuck it out and we had a good time.

The building where the Rodeo was held was pretty cool.
The kids shooting the canon out front.
It was a little loud for Autumn once the Rodeo got started!
Let the games begin......
hahaha......balloon bull horns.....it was DEVASTATING when these babies burst!!
Then they had a little kid chase the sheep contest........Ella bit the dust on the way out to line up!! Yes folks, she's mine!! lol
Needless to say, my kids didn't win!!

Random Texas

Here are some miscellaneous pictures we took on our vacation.....

These are the types of houses we drove past every day in the area we stayed in!! Well, this Princess Castle was the most extravagant, but the others were not much less fancy......the homes were incredible!! Ella actually asked if a Princess lived here......I assured her that I was sure at least one did! haha
From the front, that Hummer looks tiny......
Some tired kids.....notice how bright it is....they were zonked!!
lol.....Corbin wouldn't pose for me.....
Texas Longhorn
Autumn and Shana checking out the passing scenery.
A glimpse of the Arch in St. Louis.......some day we'll go back. It was very early when we were traveling through here.
And here is the Harley dealership where Joe plans to buy his next bike.....not any time soon of course, but some time down the road. It's in Effingham, IL.....such a cool looking facility!!
Autumn trying out her new boots! haha These are actually can koozies!! Too funny.

Ducks Anyone....?

Brace yourselves.......this is all about the ducks!! haha......I just couldn't get enough of these guys, and neither could the kids!! I think we went through more bread feeding the ducks than we did actually eating it ourselves!! But it was fun to watch the kids with the ducks!!

They were so pretty
and friendly
and hungry......
This guy (?) followed the kids to the edge of the water hoping they'd give him more!! Too cute!
Love This.
Ella 'attempting' to hold still so the duck would eat out of her hand. haha
And these dirty devils!!! I just Hate geese!!
This one attacked me......so I had to punt him into the lake!! Just kidding! I did scream (maybe more of a screech) and the guy from the camper next to ours saved me!!
Because Joe was in the paddle boat with the kids!!
Ahh......Good Times! Don't these two just look thrilled?!?!?! They had been begging all vacation to take a paddle boat ride, so the morning before we left Joe agreed to take them. They had only been in the boat about 10 minutes before these expressions appeared......ok, let's go home! haha

It's All Relative!!

And here is the reasoning behind our vacation to Texas.......my Father's family reunion. My dad's mom is from Texas and my dad was actually born in Texas. So some of the family ventured to the Dallas/Fort Worth area for a reunion. It was fun to meet everyone and to eat some delicious food!!
