!!MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

I just wanted to take a quick minute to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I'm sure I'll post some first Christmas pictures next week....so stay tuned.

Big Weekend!!

It's official....Evan can now roll over. Yeah!! Two days after his four month birthday he's rolling. He actually rolled at two weeks old....but Joe and I both know that was a freak accident, I think it scared him. The look on his face was priceless. But he's rolling now!

He also was given the green light to begin cereal by his pediatrician. Joe wanted to start it about three months ago....but I made him wait. However, I think Joe was right because we couldn't spoon it in quick enough without Evan yelling between every bite! It was very comical. A video camera would have been nice...but these photos will have to do. For the most part he kept very clean, didn't turn his head too much, and ate four tablespoons in about 10 minutes! Mom and Dad were very impressed considering the pediatrician said it would probably take a while for him to catch on to using the spoon......not at all. He's a natural. But you'll also see in the last picture that he was very worn out after all the excitement so he and Harley took a little cat nap.

Thirteen....

Yes, Thirteen....that's the number of 'falling stars' Evan and I saw yesterday morning while driving. Well, Evan only saw four before I had to drop him off at Pat's house...my wonderful babysitter! But during my drive from home to BG that morning I saw a total of 13. It's usually pretty exciting to catch one every now and then...but to see that many was amazing. And I even saw two at once....they were racing....the one on the left won!! So that is how I will remember Evan's 4 month birthday! Not that I really need a reminder....but that was pretty amazing. So I've just attached a few of my favorite images that I've taken out at our pond during some pretty cool sunsets. Enjoy! In the last one you can see Van Wert's water tower in the background.

I just found out the source of my 'falling stars'. It was the Geminid Meteor Shower...known as the 'best meteor shower of the year.' according to physorg.com. And it was in it's peak on December 13th and 14th! Very Cool.

Corbin's Baptism

Well this weekend started off very badly! Poor little Evan has a cold that’s really consuming him. But for as bad as he sounds….he is still in good spirits. If mommy or daddy could take it from him we would, but unfortunately it doesn’t work that way. Then coming up on the 14th I have to take him to get his four month shots…so I hope he’s at least gotten rid of his cold by then.

On Sunday Shana’s little boy, Corbin, got baptized at their church. The service was very nice and Corbin did a great job….so did Evan sitting in the church for an hour. He slept through about half the service, but when he was awake he did great. Ross and Alyssa kept him entertained by talking to him. Then after the service the whole family went out for some Mexican food and we had a wonderful time.

Play Date!!

Evan had his first play date with Jackson on Friday. As you can see they got along well!! Evan sitting on Jackson and all. What a little bully we're raising....I blame his dad. :) Jackson was great trying to show Evan how to play with the toys. I think Jackson was confused as to why Evan just laid there and didn't move...not quite there yet. Both guys did really well considering we had them up past their bed times. Jackson looks wide awake in that last picture....but about five minutes after that he crashed.

Beth's Brady!!

Check out the pictures of this adorable little guy!! My dear friend Beth and her husband Tim had Brady on November 15th. What a cute baby....I couldn't believe how much hair he has, and Beth informed me that he's actually lost hair since he was born!! Hard to believe because he still has tons. Congratulation you two on your beautiful baby boy.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

What a nice holiday. You'll see from the pictures below that Evan had a very eventful week. He's now learning to play in his exersaucer! Very exciting....we don't even have to prop him up, he's doing it all on his own. His aunt Jackie came home for Thanksgiving and hung out with Evan fri. and sat. and is currently watching him for us today! Good Luck!! Evan had to make sure we didn't miss the football game on Thanksgiving day, so he stole the remote from daddy and took control of the TV. After a long day visiting the relatives he needed a little break! So mommy offered to rest with him.

New Friend Added

You'll notice that I've added the link to Josh & Jamie's blog. This is Evan's 8.5 month old friend. One of these days I'll get some photos of the two of them to post....but until then you'll just have to see Jackson all by himself. What a darling!!

Portrait Session

So on Friday, Nov. 10th, Megan, Shana and I (sisters) went to a department store to have pictures taken of our kids.....Landon is 3, Corbin is 2 and Evan is 3 months. Imagine the chaos of this situation...then put us all in one very tiny room with a hot light above! Well everything went ok....but the photographer only took 4 pictures total....during about a 30 minute photo session. I thought that was sort of crazy. So when Evan and I got home, I made him sit through another photo session....plus I wanted to play with my camera! Below is a handful of many pictures I took.......ENJOY. One of these days maybe I'll talk daddy into being in the photos!!

Crossword Help...

Evan decided to help Dad do his daily crossword....I think Evan got more than daddy did!! And the bottom picture is of Evan in his favorite swing. That was given to me by my wonderful co-workers. Joe and I love that swing probably more than Evan does....it puts him right to sleep when all else fails!!

Harley

I just couldn't resist posting my favorite picture of Harley!! For those of you who don't know this is our dog...he's all of 6 lbs...but full of piss and vinegar! He does well with Evan so far...but Evan isn't able to grab a hold of him just yet. We'll see what happens when Evan can actually pick on Harley. :)

Beginning!!

I wanted to come up with a way to keep friends and family informed of what's going on in our lives....and this seemed like the way to go. I had been e-mailing you all, but now that I've got a new camera the file sizes are larger...therefore e-mailing is going to limit the number of images I can send through at one time. So I will no longer bombard you with e-mails....you can just check back to this site at your convenience!!

This blog will mostly be for updates on Evan.....and of course pictures.....because I just can't help myself. I will try my best to keep up on the posts.....so check back!!
