Boo at the Zoo

Today Jamie and I took the kids to the Ft. Wayne Children's Zoo. It was a perfect day, therefore the lines were long, but the kids did great and we got lots of candy and got to see some cool animals. Yes, Jamie gave me a hard time about never taking Ella to the zoo yet.....but hey.....I can't do it all!! :} Enjoy

For the past two years now we've went into town to Becky's house to trick-or-treat down South Ave.......must be the place to be because there's always tons of people up and down that street!! There were quite a few people that we went along with......Becky & Mike and their 2 kids, Brandi (Becky's sister) and her 2 kids, Bri & Cyle and their 2 kids, Kevin (my brother-in-law) and his 3 kids and Joe & I and our 2 kids.......yikes. Somehow we managed....and we only lost 2 very briefly on someone's front porch!! My mother-of-the-year status may have been jeopardized during that event......haha

Huggy Trick-or-Treat

This is us trick-or-treating at the camp ground earlier this month. The weather was perfect (and actually hot) for walking around and getting candy!! Ella had her hair done by the fabulous Pat (our sitter)!!

Cincy Apple Orchard

The kids and I ventured to Cincinnati to visit Aunt Amanda a few weeks ago. And it's now my tradition to visit in the fall to go the the Apple Orchard to get my thriller caramel apple!! Oh it's heaven.....and yes, I've eaten them all. :} We go with Amanda's mom, dad, sister and her kids (only one kid this year though)......and the kids always enjoy the play area they have set up!! Good Times!!

Wiles' Trials

I've added another blog to my sidebar. Jason & Megan Wiles......Megan was a college roommate of mine and some days I thought Jason was too!! I've just recently caught up with her on facebook (gotta love facebook). And they have just announced that Jason is currently battling esophageal cancer. If you have the time, you should read the complete blog from the beginning. You will truly be inspired by this family!! They have such faith, given the circumstances, that it will really make you reassess your relationship with God (at least it did me).

If you don't have time to read the entire blog, what they are really asking for are prayers! Prayers for strength, patience, wisdom.....everything that you can lose track of when you are put into this whirlwind. If you have stories of your own battle with cancer or someone you know, they would love to hear them.....so if you have time to share with them, please do. I'm sure they would appreciate it.

Lincoln Ridge Fun

Joe and I took the kids this weekend to have some fun at Lincoln Ridge. They had a few things extra from last year, and as always......the kids had a blast!! :} One of the new things was this 'Great Pumpkin Jump'......and I must admit, I kinda wanted to try it out!! It was a beautiful day to hang out outdoors and let the kids burn off some steam!! We did the Corn Maze and got covered in mud, visited Wanda the Witches House.....she was taking a break when we got there! We even braved the Haunted Barn......very spooky!! :} So much fun stuff for the kids to do.
