Brace YourSelves.....

I've done the unthinkable.......it was such a hard decision to make. Joe and I had been debating for quite a while now on when to do 'it'. And I finally just had to make the decision and get it over with. We'll be giving just short of 12" to Locks of Love......and we still have our beautiful girl who LOVES her new hair cut.......brace yourselves.

Best Day!! ;}

What a Wonderful day!! The weather was perfect, the food was awesome and of course the company was fantastic!! In our house we don't celebrate the hallmark holidays, and I'm just fine with that. But that doesn't stop us from visiting with our families on days that are special to them. So I didn't get breakfast in bed or Joe waiting on me hand and foot. It was just another great day of spending time with my family. We were finally able to allow the kids to take their fishing poles, that the Easter Bunny brought them, to the pond for some casting. And boy oh boy did they have a blast!! And I'm pretty convinced that Evan was born to fish......he just does it so naturally it's a little scary!! So please enjoy the (way too many) pictures I snapped of our fishing excursion......

Happy Birthday Joe!!

So I'm a day late......I'm sure he'll forgive me!! To my wonderful husband who does soooo much for this family! There are no amount of words that will ever express how much he means to me and our kids. Unfortunately we don't have the perfect marriage......we argue and struggle and get stressed out and have days where we just want a 'do over.' But thankfully we've got each other......for better or for worse right!! He picks me up when I need it and I pick him up when he needs it. And we are equal when it comes to our kiddos......ok well, maybe he's much better than me at the whole parenting thing!! He really is THE Best dad! I Love him and our kids Love him! Happy Birthday Honey!! Here's to many many more.

And because I have about zero pictures of Joe (cause he pretty much hates them), here's a precious picture of Ella playing (yes, there is actually a sand pile in that mess!!) and Brutus being the very protective dog that he is. Typically wherever the kids are playing outside, you will find Brutus sitting close by!! I love that......he really is so great with the kids!!

Evans Easter

Oh that Easter Bunny.....he sure is tricky!! Evan couldn't believe nobody saw him come in the house....and why didn't the dogs bark? he asked. Oh that Bunny, he sure if Funny!! Well he treated the kids really well this year. Someone forgot that she had went shopping about a month and a half ago. So needless to say, there were lots of presents in the baskets. :-} They love it all and are really excited to be able to use their fishing poles in the pond this summer with daddy.
