Grandma and Grandpa got a new swingset and the kids just can't wait to play on it every time they are over there!! Poor Evan got roped into pushing the girls.....he's such a great helper!
3 kids, 3 adults, 6 dozen eggs, 9 die packs.......15 minutes and done!! I think we may have set some sort of record. :-} Most of the eggs were so pale because the kids would drop them in and let them sit for about 3 seconds then pull it back out. hahaha At one point I'm sure they were racing to see who could color the most eggs. We worked very hard to get the kids to leave them sit......sometimes they did. So us adults went back and recolored some of the eggs so it looks like we did something. Either way, the kids had lots of fun and we'll be eating eggs for quite some time!!
Check out the intense concentration!! There aren't many things that cause my daughter to slow down let alone concentrate this way. Want to know what she's doing.......Yep......all that for a hard boiled egg!! Her favorite!! Add a little salt and every now and then she'll do mustard.......
What a beautiful weekend we had!! Minus Evan still being really sick, it was prefect. On Sunday the kids decided they wanted to go swimming........we waded instead! Still a little chilly in the water to actually swim. So the kids got out their buckets and shovels and had a good ol time. Of course Ella decided to sit down in the water (yes, with her clothes on).....ahhh good times. At this point, I'm not sure if we're wind burnt or sun burnt!!
So Pat (my sitter) decided to be real ambitious the other day and give Ella a french pedicure!! I can't even get Ella to sit still long enough to finish a sentence.......let alone a french pedi......amazing! Before I had seen Ella's toes she kept telling me 'Pat painted rainbows on my toes!' So I really wasn't quite sure what she was talking about. My best guess was that every toe was a different color.......until I saw them!! Isn't it funny the things kids think of?
Then after I took the picture of her toes, she insisted I get her face in the picture!! So she struck a pose.....I think that having Evan work on her with pictures is going to Eventually work out in my favor!! :-}
This sight will never get old to me!! If only I had my camera in hand when Ella ran the whole way down to Joe's semi.......that was priceless. :) Out of breath and coughing because she's sick, but ran the whole way just to see daddy. LOVE.
These guys were cracking me up the other day......Evan is playing a Diego game on the computer as Ella watches on. And no, I'm not sure what's happening with her hair. And yes, she ALWAYS has on that princess dress!! I'm sure you've seen it in previous posts, or if you were to visit on any given day! hahaha
Just finished giving Ella a breathing treatment (we've both been sick for about a week now) and Evan decided he wanted to wear the mask! lol Good Times!! :-}
Ever since I got my new camera my old one has been sitting an it's box collecting dust and not getting any use. So we decided that we'd teach Evan how to use it because he Loves to take pictures and has had a 'kid' camera ever since he could use one. Evan is so responsible and follows all the rules I set for him when he's using the camera. And so far he loves it!! Now I only wish that Ella would follow my instructions as well as she follows Evan's instructions when he's taking her picture!! It's incredible.......he'll tell her where to stand and where to put her hand and which direction to look......and she does it.....without a fight!! He's really got talent. hahaha :-}
Ever have one of 'those' days.....? Me neither.....just wanted a drink!! ;-} Definitely not as good as the Mexican Restaurant, but good none the less. Cheers!
At least that's where my kids think we went......and no, I wasn't telling them that. They just 'assumed', and I haven't been able to tell them the truth. We went this past weekend to the Disney on Ice Princess Classic in Ft. Wayne. Ella and I went on Sunday, and Evan went with Grandma, Jess, Jac and the girls on Saturday. Evan really enjoyed the show and wanted to go back when Ella and I were going on Sun. Ella on the other hand.......she enjoyed what she watched, which couldn't have been much since she was switching seats every other second!! To put is nicely, she was a bit of a trainwreck!!
The show was really good and very entertaining!! And yes, in a few years we will actually be going to Disney World.......so I just haven't had the heart to tell the kids any different because for the next few years they'd be asking, 'when are we going to Disney World?' ;-}
I'm so glad I have such a wonderful Dog that brings me these little presents every now and then!!! Just about lost my lunch when I saw this guy sitting outside my door......especially since I thought he may still be alive. Nope, poor critter was no longer with us :-{ Gross.....
I was pretty sure he was like the biggest crawl dad ever......but when I put this dustpan beside him, he doesn't seem that big at all!!
This is our life.......some days completely fun and some days a little frustrating! But our life none-the-less. I love my family and my life and I have a good time documenting it in our blog!! I hope you enjoy visiting. :} Thanks for stopping by.
