Meet George.....

:) the kids decided to name this dragonfly george!! This was the largest dragonfly I've ever seen, so of course I had to take a picture. Then we caught it to give to a guy I work with who's daughter will have to start catching critters for a bug collection for school. :) For some reason that's fun for me now!! Didn't want to do it in high school for myself......go figure.

Well, we've been a little busy lately......not really sure with what.....just life I guess. Lots of playing outside enjoying the swingset and pond. Taking in some golfing!! Over the weekend my mom treated the whole family to an outing to a TinCaps game! It was really hot, but sooo much fun. The kids didn't really pay too much attention to the game, but had fun in the bounce house and watching the fireworks afterwards. Thanks Mom!! Then sunday night Joe and I took the kids to see Toy Story 3 at the 'sky movie' (drive-in) as Evan calls it!! They really liked the movie and actually stayed awake for the whole thing. That's our life right now.....exciting or not.....I love it. :)

Cincinnati Visit

Over the weekend the kids and I headed down to Cincinnati to visit my dear friend Amanda (old college roommate). For something fun to do with the kids we went to the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal!! It was soooo cool. The building used to be a train station and was renovated into a Museum......amazing. There was so much for the kids to do I don't even know how to describe it. It was really nice to since it was so hot outside to have somewhere inside for the kids to run and play. We even went to the imax and watched a short video about sea creatures. The kids had so much fun they keep asking when we are going to go play with the boats again!! :) I sort of forgot I had my camera in my purse until we'd already been there a while, so the pictures are few.

Joe and I saw these really cool tables at a bar one evening.....and Joe decided he wanted to make a beer pong table outta beer caps......DRINK UP!!
Why beer pong you ask......well because what other excuse could we use? :)
Joe began laying out all the caps we (and others) have collected to see how much table they would cover. Well, this is only half of what the table size will be. And the few red caps along the edges represent red lines we want through the table.....so Joe needs to drink lots more Budweiser. And I need to drink LOTS more Bud Light Lime!!

I'm actually pretty excited about the table and I think it will look pretty awesome once it's completed. So if you're drinking and feel like saving some caps for us.....I'll take them. Perhaps it'll be finished by the time we have our next Buckeye Party.

And then I put my kids through some more torture.....well torture with huge lollipops. Sounds brutal right.... :) After the 'grandkid session' I took my kids into town for a few more pictures. I wish I could have used these suckers with the whole bunch, but I only had 5 and there were 6 kids, and us adults couldn't decide which two would have shared the best. haha Evan is 3yrs 9mths and Ella is about 2yrs 4mths. Growing up too fast.
