Easter Fun!!

Gotta love the holidays......the excitement in the kids' eyes getting their presents/baskets of candy, spending time with our families, feeling like the weekend went way too fast, kids not taking naps and being cranky.....wait.....perhaps I need to rethink that first statement!! ;)

Of course it's busy and hectic and the kids don't get their naps like they should, but it's always great to spend time with the ones we love. Here are some pictures from our Easter weekend.

Egg hunt at my mom and dad's....next year it's either bigger baskets or fewer eggs. Every kid made a killin during this hunt. My mom bought tons of eggs. :)

These three are quite the pair, Hadley tried to squeeze in....but the car was pretty full already.
I can see these next two pictures when they are all 16.......yikes!

Let the egg hunt begin.....Evan had to start in the back yard while the girls worked the front yard.

we'll recline in his chair and watch whatever we want to.....

we'll shoot guns in the house......
we'll spin and spin and spin.......
until we fall over dizzy......
then we'll take a break with chocolate milkshakes........

Sooooo thankful that it's finally nice outside. Perhaps Evan will finally be able to get rid of his cough and runny nose that has been with him for about a month now. :( Poor guy. But today when we got home the first thing we did was put the equipment back onto the swing set and play play play!! Can't wait for the grass to be green and the pond to be warm enough to actually swim in.

New shoes.....

I just can't get enough of these Converse shoes!! Ella had the same pair last year....obviously grew out of them. So I had to get a new pair for this year. And figured Evan could use a pair too. :) The second day they wore these (which was Friday) daddy decided he's let them play outside.....and when Joe wasn't paying attention they made a run for the swingset. Well, it only rained all day, so the yard was pretty muddy. Needless to say, Evan was literally stuck in the mud to his ankles and Ella was a disaster. So glad you can just throw everything in the washer.
